MultiGrabber
MultiGrabber is the digital television and radio broadcasts capture module, fully integrated with TelePad. It retrieves TV broadcasts by compressing audio and video information using MPEG-4 technology to maximise the available storage. Despite the compression, audio and video maintain good levels of quality.
MultiGrabber does not need any sophisticated hardware, and it is based on the Linux platform to provide a very reliable and scalable fully automated modular solution. It is an inexpensive investment and maximises its capabilities by using a plug-in technology.
MultiGrabber allows the system to be operated in a completely digital environment, avoiding the need of tapes and VCRs during the data entry phase. The benefits are faster and more accurate operations. It also allows for the easy creation of "digital clips" for each new classified spot in order to generate a multimedia database.
