TVM2

The TVM2 peoplemeter, developed and maintained by AGB Nielsen Media Research Corporate Support, is the result of an international approach to TAM technology and the rapid expansion into diverse and challenging markets.

The TVM2 is capable of monitoring:

All analogue TV broadcasts, including satellite and cable transmissions
With the installation of the Digisat Detector, enables the TVM2 to measure the viewing of digital channels, as long as the Broadcaster makes the service information available
Use of the VCR and of TV games
Up to 12 individuals in each family, who are able to watch up to 130 TV channels per set on a maximum of 6 TV sets per home
Up to 8 guests, with basic demographic data
Audience appreciation
The use of the TV set as a monitor for any external source

The display of the TVM2 is designed to communicate with panel families in any language. The dedicated remote control allows each member of the panel family to register their viewing by simply pushing a button. The flexibility of the TVM2 is based upon the principle that each unit is fully parametric, programmable and easily upgraded, depending on the characteristics of the TV equipment in the panel home.

Where the family has other equipment connected to the TV set, the TVM2 is upgraded to monitor this equipment too, with the installation of dedicated detectors, to the three ports of the meter. This equipment may include a satellite, cable or pay-TV decoder, a VCR or TV games.
